CENTRAL SENATORIAL DISTRICT: UNITED WE STAND
Today, I express profound gratitude as we mark a significant moment of unity and reconciliation between my esteemed elder brother, Senator Eteng Jones Williams, and myself.
As many are aware, we both presented ourselves to serve our beloved Central Senatorial District during the APC senatorial primary election. While I was ultimately entrusted with the party’s mandate, it is important to acknowledge that democratic processes often involve diverse aspirations and perspectives. What distinguishes true leadership is the ability to prioritize the collective interest above individual ambitions.
I extend my sincere appreciation to His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State, whose exemplary leadership, guidance, and steadfast commitment to unity within our party facilitated this reconciliation. I also commend His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, Deputy Governor of Cross River State, for his wisdom, patience, and instrumental role in ensuring that all concerns arising from the primary process were addressed with fairness and understanding.
I am particularly grateful to my elder brother, Senator Eteng Jones Williams, for his maturity, patriotism, and statesmanship. His decision to embrace reconciliation and prioritize the unity of our party and the advancement of our people reflects commendable leadership and a deep sense of responsibility.
This moment transcends individual interests; it represents a renewed commitment to the future of the Central Senatorial District. It underscores our shared purpose and collective resolve to foster progress and development for our people.
I therefore call upon all supporters, stakeholders, party members, and the good people of the Central Senatorial District to embrace this renewed spirit of unity. Let us move beyond past differences, strengthen our bonds, and work collaboratively toward the continued growth and success of Cross River State.
Together, with God’s grace, we will build a stronger, more united, and more prosperous Central Senatorial District.
