FG To Hold Press Conference, Flag-Off Key Projects On Lagos Bridge And Coastal Highway On Sunday
The Federal Government, through the Federal Ministry of Works and the National Assembly Committees on Works, will on Sunday, August 9, 2026, hold a press conference and stakeholders’ engagement on key infrastructure projects in Lagos.
The engagement will cover the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, with focus on service lanes and secondary drainages for Sections 1 and 2 in line with the presidential directive.
It will also feature the inauguration of the Coastal Road Guards to protect highway infrastructure, and the flag-off of repair works on Eko Bridge, Marine Bridge, and the flood-affected section of the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway.
The event is scheduled for 12:00 noon at Chainage Zero of the Coastal Road, Section 1.
The Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway will be temporarily closed from 10:00am to 4:00pm to enable works at the interchanges.
